Turn the solar panel ON by turning the panel over to Ôcover it upÕ then press the button on the back >see the pretty colors! One button controls on/off and 8 lighting modes. Keep pressing the button to cycle through the various modes and then reach off again. Study the sun pattern. It’s position changes as the seasons change. The sun is in our Southern sky, so position the panel facing the South. The South side of your house is the sunniest! Tilt the panel upwards. (see the diagram on the box) The battery comes pre-charged but charge for another 6-8 hours for 2-3 more days to condition the battery and for optimal performance. Relocate the solar panel as the seasonal sun changes. Position the solar panel off the ground if possible, to prevent damage from gardeners, rodents etc. Keep the solar panel clean. Use soap and water to remove dirt monthly. Tell your gardeners & kids about your new solar lights, so they can be extra careful not to damage them.
